KARACHI: Six cars, 12 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Jan 24: Eighteen vehicles — six cars and 12 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Friday, police said.

Two cars were hijacked. Four others were stolen.

Four motorcycles were hijacked. Eight others were stolen.

Police also claimed on Friday to have recovered nine vehicles in the city.

ROBBERY: Two bandits robbed a doctor in Lasbela at gunpoint late Thursday night.

Police said Dr Abdul Hameed of Karachi Adventist Hospital was robbed of Rs8,000. Two men asked for a lift from the doctor. After they got into the car they demanded cash and mobile phone from him at gunpoint.

The doctor gave them the cash after which they got down from the car and escaped.

The doctor lodged an FIR at Soldier Bazaar police station.
