THE ECP should introduce some reforms. When a political party or coalition partners form a government, they must commit some ‘tangible developmental targets’ at the time of oath-taking ceremony, along with the constitutional oath.

Members of the Senate, National Assembly and provincial assemblies, along with the cabinet, deliver nothing tangible at the end of the term

I request the leadership of all political and religious parties and the ECP to make amendments to draw a roadmap for improving the economy and the standard of living of the people. The rulers must also be held accountable. Collective performance of the assemblies is not gauged by the nation. If a coalition government is formed but doesn’t succeed in achieving the required goals or targets, it must not be allowed to take part in the next election.

Clearly, something has changed since for this step to have been taken and there are shifts in the balance of power within.
