ISLAMABAD, March 1: Around 300 employees working at the Pakistan Secretariat on Friday locked the gates of different blocks for about four hours, demanding regularisation of their services and pay increase.
As a result, over 1,000 officers remained stuck in the buildings till about 7pm.
Locking the gates after Friday prayers, the protesting employees announced that they would not allow any officer to go out till their demands were met.
Officials from the Secretariat police station reached the spot but as the gates were locked they could not enter the premises.
