ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has expressed its serious reservations over links between Punjab government and a Pakistan based corruption watchdog, Transparency International (TI).

This was stated by Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Central Secretary Information of PPP Qamar Zaman Kaira here on Thursday in a statement.

He said the Transparency International had unleashed a campaign against the PPP government and the party’s leadership with malicious intentions and was working as a tool of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

It was evident from a recent survey conducted by the same company which was biased and critical of the PPP government, he said.

The information minister said that Adil Gilani of TI had been meeting the Punjab chief minister regularly in the recent past and his biased activities had led to complete erosion of the TI’s credibility.

He said the agreement has exposed credentials of the Transparency International.
