Recycled engine oil

Published February 26, 2013

THIS refers to used car engine oil. When consumers replace the engine oil of their cars after specified mileage, they leave engine oil containers and the discarded oil at mechanics shops.

The same mechanics sell those used engine oil containers of different brands and discarded oil to a mafia on cheap rates. The mafia is involved in processing and cleaning the discarded engine oil.

It refills the used engine oil containers with recycled oil, packs them with counterfeit seal for resale. These counterfeit oils of different brands come in the market and are sold as genuine branded oil which causes the customers a heavy loss in money as well as in damage to their car engines because this processed and cleaned engine oil is not reusable for vehicles.

I would rather say that we, the car owners, are responsible for this notorious scam and we are also damaging our cars by ignoring this factor.

Car owners can nip the evil in the bud. Whenever they replace engine oil of their cars, they must take the engine oil bottle back and discard it after punching two or three holes in it, or they might become the next victim of counterfeit engine oil if this practise continues.
