KARACHI: KU to operate 12 more buses

KARACHI, Jan 22: As many as 12 additional point buses will operate from the University of Karachi to different localities from Thursday, a spokesman for the University said on Wednesday.

He said that the additional buses were being introduced on the directive of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Saied Saify in view of transport difficulties being faced by the students.

CSS CLASSES: The KU’s bureau of students’ guidance, consultation and employment has announced that a ten- week preparatory course for CSS exams would begin on Feb 3.

The admission forms, which are available at the office of the bureau at the silver jubilee gate, can be submitted up to Feb 1. Classes will be held between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.

BOOK FAIR: The vice-chancellor of the University of Karachi has said that reading habit among students was on the increase.

He stated at the second day of a book fair organized by the Islami Jamiat Talaba on Wednesday.

He pointed out that publications of noted scholars and scientists were available on the website, while at the KU library the facility was available for all students.—PPI/APP
