SUKKUR, Feb 22: An ‘All Parties Conference’ was organised in Ghotki on Friday by the Sindh United Party for discussing ways of maintaining peace in Ghotki city in view of a recent clash between the Dharejo and Mahar communities.

Various political parties and social organisations attended the conference held under the chairmanship of its convener, Rais Lal Bux Ghoto. They included the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party, Awami Tehreek, Jeay Sindh Mahaz and Jeay Sindh Tehreek.

Referring to the armed clash which took place a couple of days ago between the Dharejo and Mahar communities, the leaders  observed that residents of Ghotki were suffering because of clashes.

They strongly condemned the clash and called for ending the display of arms in Ghotki.

If the situation continued, they warned, a movement would be launched.
