SANGHAR, Jan 20: Postal orders of denomination of Rs5 and above are not available in the district for the last many weeks.

Students who intend to apply for admission to various colleges are facing difficulties due to the non-availability of the postal orders, which are required with the admission forms.

When contacted, staff at the head post office on Monday told they had sent requisitions several times to the general post office, Nawabshah, during the last 15 days but the postal orders of denomination of Rs5, 10, 50 and 100 were not available even at the GPO.

Several students said in case of non-availability of the postal orders, they would have to attach a bank draft with the admission forms which cost more money.

The students and their parents have demanded the postal orders should be made available at post offices in the district.
