KARACHI, Jan 20: An exhibition of Japanese calendars opened at the Karachi Arts Council here on Monday. The event has been organized jointly by the Arts Council of Pakistan and the Japan Cultural Centre.

More than 100 calendars, printed by various Japanese companies are on display. The calenders, depicting different dimensions of art, scenic graphics, environment, culture, traditions and the socio-economic status of people, will remain on display between 10am and 5pm till Thursday.

Amir Ali Burq, the principal secretary to the Sindh Chief minister, Ali Mohammed Mahar, was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony in place of the CM who could not turn up due to his preoccupation.

Representing the Arts Council at the event, well-known artiste Khushbakht Shujaat said that the two Asian countries shared many common things, especially in culture, traditions.
