GUJRAT, Jan 24: Lalamusa buried its youth on Thursday who was killed in anti-immigrant attacks in Athens a week ago.

Suspected right-wing extremists stabbed to death 27-year-old Luqman Shehzad who had landed in Greece four years ago.

His death sparked a demonstration by Pakistani immigrants in Athens who along with a handful of Greeks gathered outside Athens City Hall to say prayers and pay their respects to Shehzad.

The killing follows a series of violent attacks on the immigrants in Athens mostly belong to Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin and Jhelum districts.

The deceased came off from a family of Sirdarpura. He is survived by his father, mother, eight sisters and a brother.

Family sources said the family had arranged his journey to Greece through a racket of illegal human traffickers.

The Federal Investigation Agency has established its office in Gujrat to curb the menace in the area.
