ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Thursday said she hoped that the incidents reported on the line of control (LoC) would not affect the dialogue that has been underway between India and Pakistan, DawnNews reported.

Khar claimed there were contradictions in the statements of Indian officials with regard to the incidents.

The foreign minister added that Pakistani media had played a positive role in the matter.

Earlier on Wednesday, Khar had appeared on India’s Times Now news channel and had issued a firm denial and criticised the statements by authorities in New Delhi about the alleged killing of two Indian soldiers in Kashmir.

India had accused Pakistan of sending troops across the heavily militarised LoC on Tuesday and had said two of its soldiers were killed and one was wounded in a half-hour gunfight.

The Pakistani army had later denied what it said were Indian allegations of “unprovoked firing” across the LoC.

The incident came two days after a clash along the LoC in which Pakistan said one of its soldiers had been killed after an Indian incursion. India had denied its troops crossed the line.

the name of two indian soldiers are lance naik Sudhakar singh (REWA,MADHYA PRADESH) & Hemraj (MATHURA UTTAR PRADESH).u can shoot somebody from distance but to behead someone u have to be in close proximity.Bodies of two indian soldiers were found badly mutilated and head of sudhakar singh was missing. now i can doubt indian media BUT i cant doubt father of dead soldier... when he said his son's head was not there. this is not first case of dishonouring dead body..... bodies of capt saurabh singh & five others indian soldiers underwent same faith in 1999...his father is Dr Nk kalia is fighting both indian & pakistani govt in indian supreme court to bring criminals to justice...... moreover i think everbody heard of ILIYAS KASHMIRI right..... ? and denial is nothing new.... remember kasab identity?

I am sure the dialogue process will continue! That is the fodder on which the political animals live! But the people of the two nations are today more alienated from each other than before. The extreme hate that manifested itself in the mutilation of the Indian soldiers has planted doubts as to whether any true friendship between us is ever possible! May God show us the path of friendship and love!

India rejects UN investigation of the incident. Lies again from across the border from Pakistan.

I thought she was not very diplomatic.Even your report does not mention the main point which has inflamed feelings. One of the Indian Soldiers had his head severed.India would kill its own soldiers to make a point ? Perhaps it was one of the Let terrorists under fire cover from the Pakistan Army, who did this, as no Professional soldier would do this - normally.Obviously this cannot be admitted.

Even an invasion would not effect the cordial relations of these two countries.
K Jan 10, 2013 11:55am
Do we Indians even need to speak to these people who are not even capable of leading their own people? People who lack vision and have no sense of direction, who can only create problems for their ownselves and others! I think, India needs to put a fullstop to even speaking to this country, we anyway don't need them! Pakistan is turning out to be nothing but sheer nuisance.

I am sorry to hear what indian media is on about...
Sid Jan 10, 2013 10:49am
India really should not have any relations with pakistan and should ignore it completely. Its not worth it. They can live as they want and Indians can live as they want.

Getting killed in battle is one thing and brutalizing the body of slain soldier is another. Only sadists can think about such things. Why is it that such cases happen when Pakistani soldiers are involved ?

Are Indian killing their own Pakistani brothers Or Pakistanis killing their own Indian Brothers across LOC???????? Enough is Enough........... Its high time ,, India and Pakistan carry out some fruitful discussion across the table end this bloody war. Nobody in benifittig here..... And i am very sorry to say that Indian media is blowing this matter out of proportion without understanding the ground realities at LOC. They are creating more hat redness among India and Pakistan brothers. Shame on indian media................ Let Pakistan be given enough time , Let there be proper discussion with pakistan , Let there be some independent enquiry as Pakistan suggested , then media can blame somebody............... Having said that , this fighting must end soon ,,,, a small spark can ignite big fire which will ruin Indian and Pakistan economy in minutes.. Let good relation blossom between two counties so that poorest of poor can benefit and their benefits also reach all segments of the society in India as well as Pakistan........................................

Reza Jan 10, 2013 03:47pm
This "hope" sounds so ridiculous! Is she talking about Chinese forces fighting with Koreans? I wish we could be loyal to our jobs than falling flat to please others!
Rahmat Jan 10, 2013 06:09pm
I sincerely hope that army or any other security apparatus on either side is not involved in inciting latest skismishes. There is lot more to gain by strengthening bonds of friendship and trust between the two countries. Vested interests will only try to derail any chance of peaceful co-existance. It is a consideration that both countries must fully appreciate.
