RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, on Tuesday emphasised the need for the army to remain fully prepared to respond to the full spectrum of threat — be it direct or indirect, and overt or covert.

He made these remarks during his visit to Sialkot garrison to witness the conduct of the army mobilisation exercise, said a press release issued by the ISPR here. The exercise is being conducted to validate recent changes made in the mobilisation system of army.

The changes aimed at improving the mobilisation time will enable Pakistan Army to put in practice army’s new concept of war fighting, which has been evolved and validated in the Azm-i-Nau series of war-games over the past four years.—APP
