Pharma firm denies news report

Published January 14, 2003

ISLAMABAD, Jan 13: The Werrick Pharmaceuticals company on Monday denied that it had been black-listed by the health ministry calling a press report in this regard as totally baseless and “intriguing”.

In a clarification, the company said the report was “concocted and engineered” by an NGO in “an attempt to defame us and mislead consumers”.

It said the Werrick Pharmaceuticals had been manufacturing “Pulse” for the last many years with an “exemplary and impeccable track record for the safe treatment of cardiovascular disorders”.

It said the company was an ISO-9001:2000 and ISO 14001 certified company with strong quality and environment management protocols.
