KARACHI, Nov 24: Nazir of the High Court of Sindh, Moinuddin Ahmed, unsealed Masjid-i-Quba in Dawood Colony, Bahadurabad, on Friday evening and took over its administration.

The Nazir also appointed a neutral Muezzin and Pesh Imam and directed police to establish a permanent picket. The Nazir took the action on the orders of Justice Wahid Bux Brohi of the SHC issued on Friday morning while hearing a criminal miscellaneous filed by the Dawood Foundation against the state.

The mosque was sealed on the orders of the judicial magistrate V, East, under section 145 of CrPC on apprehension of breach of peace between two sects. The administration of the mosque was given to two persons, Abdul Majeed and Ghulam Mohammed, under the impugned order which was suspended by the SHC judge.
