KARACHI, Dec 30: The 21st Sindh Snooker Cup has entered the league phase which will commence at a local parlour on Monday with 16 cueists vying for honours.

The eight players who were through to the league from knockout were A. Majid Anwar, M. Faheem Siddiqui, M. Haris Nadeem, Khizer Aziz, Minhas Malik, Syed Ameer Jan, Uzair Aziz and Tahir Majeed.

The eight seeded cueists, who were exempted from knockout stage and placed directly in the league include top seed Naveen Perwani, second seed M. Ishtiaq, third seed Agha Bilawal, fourth seed Farrukh Usman, fifth seed Mohammad Akmal, sixth seed Javed Ansari, seventh seed Abdul Samad and eighth seed Zulfiqar Qadir.

The 16 players have been drawn into two equal groups and top two from each will qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be played on Jan 5.

Top six players of the league will be eligible to represent Sindh in the 2013 national championship.
