KARACHI, Jan 12: A meeting of the provincial parliamentary party of the Pakistan People’s Party was held here at Bilawal House on Sunday.

The PPP parliamentary party leader in the Sindh assembly, Nisar Khuhro, presided over the meeting. Besides the acting secretary-general of the PPP, Mian Raza Rabbani, the meeting was attended by all the PPP MNAs and MPAs from Sindh.

The meeting reviewed the prevailing political situation in Sindh, awarding of Senate tickets, by-elections in the province and other important issues. A strategy was finalized on the party’s line of action in the next session of the Sindh assembly.

Discussing the problems faced by sugarcane farmers in Sindh, the participants of the meeting expressed the view that despite fixation of the price of sugarcane, farmers were forced to accept low price.—PPI
