KARACHI, Dec 11: Rangers cordoned off some localities in Sohrab Goth in the early hours of Tuesday and conducted a door-to-door search operation following the killing of its two personnel in an armed attack on Monday.

More than half a dozen suspects were detained and arms and ammunition were recovered during the operation, sources said.

They said that areas that included Ganna Mandi along the Superhighway and Indus Complex near Al-Asif Square, Sohrab Goth, were searched in the targeted operation.

“Dozens of Rangers troops cordoned off the targeted areas and held search operations,” said a source.—Staff Reporter
