Indian police in Srinagar detained Yasin Malik, chief of JKLF, a separatist party fighting for Kashmir's complete independence both from India and Pakistan, along with supporters during a protest march on Friday. Police also used tear gas to disperse the protest march held to demand the release of Kashmiri men kept in Indian jails since a rebellion broke out in the Himalayan region at the end of 1989. - Text and photos by Reuters
