NAWABSHAH, Nov 27: A young woman was killed when a group of armed men barged into a house and opened fire in Jumma Bhangwar village near Nawabshah on Tuesday.

Zulfiqar Bhangwar, brother of the victim, Husna, 20, wife of Mohammad Khan Bhangwar, lodged an FIR (No: 89) at the Airport police station against Hameer and his associates under Sections 302, 337 H-2, 449, 148 and 149 PPC accusing them of trying to kidnap Benazir, daughter of Hameer.

Husna’s mother, Ms Jamal told the media that Hameer, Sikander, Jam, Umer, Imdad and Niaz barged into her house and opened fire wounding her daughter.

The victim was taken to the People’s Medical University Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds. The body was later handed over to relatives after a post-mortem examination.

Pir Bux Bhangwar, uncle of deceased, told the media that Benazir, daughter of Hameer, was given shelter by his family on her request as she was receiving death threats from her relatives.

He claimed that Hameer had earlier been arrested but was released on bail recently.
