KARACHI, Nov 23: A salesman of a medical store was gunned down in Gulshan-i-Iqbal early Friday morning, police said.

The officials added that armed men riding a motorcycle came close to the medical store near the Al-Mustafa Welfare Centre in Block 13-D,  fired at Mohammad Fahimuddin, 42, and rode away.

The victim, a resident of Gulzar-i-Hijri, died on the spot, the police said.

The police shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

They said the store remained open round the clock and the victim worked there on the night shift.

A case (FIR 836/2012) was registered on a complaint of victim’s son, Mohammad Anis, at the Gulshan-i-Iqbal police station.
