ISLAMABAD: Eidul Azha was being celebrated and observed across the country on Saturday. Special prayers were offered for Pakistan's prosperity.

The prayers were followed by offering sacrifices of animals by the faithfuls in accordance with religious obligations.

The main Eid congregation in the federal capital was at the Faisal Mosque. In Lahore, the main Eid congregation was held at Badshahi Mosque.

In Karachi, the main Eid congregation was held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah while other large congregations were held at Nishtar Park, National Stadium and Eidgah Nazimabad.

In Peshawar, main Eid prayers were held at Eid Gah Charsadda Road Peshawar. In Quetta, main Eid prayers were held at Eidgah Toghi Road and Alamdar Road.

Eidul Azha was also being celebrated in Gilgit Baltistan. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the main Eid congregation was held at the Central Eidgah in Muzaffarabad
