KARACHI, Jan 3: A large number of students appearing in degree examinations at the University of Karachi were suffering due to non-availability of transport.

Many candidates complained on Friday that they had to walk on foot from the university to NIPA Chowrangi, owing to inadequate public transport.

The buses, minibuses, coaches and metro buses, were jam-packed with candidates coming out of the campus after their papers concluded at 5.30pm.

The students were found travelling even at the roofs of these vehicles. Many others had to arrive at the stop three to four hours earlier than the prescribed paper timings.—PPI
