PESHAWAR, Oct 8: A woman from a remote village of Upper Dir has appealed to the Peshawar High Court chief justice to help her in recovery of her four-year-old son who was kidnapped from the village over three months ago.

Nusrat Bibi has been moving from pillar to post and has sent applications to several high-ups of the government including the police for the recovery of her son, Jamal Khan, but in vain as she says that the concerned police officials are not taking interest in the case.

The woman visited the Peshawar High Court on Monday along with her brother-in-law, Sultan Zaib, and narrated her ordeal to media persons. She stated that they had charged two persons living in their neighbourhood — Lal Mohammad and his sister Ms Aasia — but they were granted bail by a subordinate court in Upper Dir.

She stated on June 28, 2012, her son went out of her house at Pathrak village and did not return.

Nusrat Bibi stated that she had also hired services of a company dealing in sniffer dogs. She added that the sniffer dog also took the police to the residence of the two suspects.

She requested Chief Justice Dost Mohammad Khan to take suo motu notice of her case and order proper investigation into the case through a senior officer.—Bureau Report
