LAHORE, Oct 6: Pakistan’s U-14 football team was set to leave for Japan late on Saturday night from Lahore to take part in Kizua Project “Japan U-14 Football Exchange Programme to Support Disaster Affected Areas,” to be held at Tokyo from Oct 9 to 19.

Pakistan have been placed in Group ‘B’ with Maldives, Nepal, JFA Academy 2 and Sri Lanka, according to the draws unveiled by the Japan Football Federation (JFF) for the Japan-SAARC U-14 Football Exchange Programme.

India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, JFA Academy 1 and Bhutan have been placed in Group ‘A’.

Pakistan will face JFA Academy 2 in their opener on Oct 9 followed by their group game against Sri Lanka on Oct 10 and Maldives on Oct 11.
