LAHORE, Oct 2: Monsoon season has culminated in Pakistan after generating satisfactory rains from July to September and weather will remain dry at least in the next 10 days.

According to the Met Department on Tuesday, monsoon current had completely been retreated and there was no chance of any rain in the near future anywhere in the country.

Day time temperatures were expected to remain normal but night temperatures may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in most of the agricultural plains of the country during the next 10 days.

It will also remain mainly dry in most parts of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. However, there could be isolated light rain in these areas around Oct 10.

Farmers of Barani areas were advised to remove weeds from the fields and prepare them for the incoming Rabi crops.

They were also advised to cultivate winter vegetables in time so that the existing soil moisture might fully be utilised.
