KARACHI: Draws were the order of the day in the Pakistan Premier Football League as all three matches on Monday ended in ties.

Both Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and Baloch FC bounced back from two successive defeats as they drew 1-1 in their match at here at the People’s Sports Complex.

HBL, coming into the game after defeats to Afghan FC and Muslim FC, took the lead when their striker Abdullah netted in the 40th minute.

But Baloch FC restored some of their pride and took a point from the game through Zubair Ahmed’s equalizer in the 82nd.

After being hammered by KESC and Navy in their last two games, it was a vital boost for the Baloch FC side who seem to have problems adjusting to the conditions in Karachi and have six points from seven games.

HBl, meanwhile, have a paltry four points from eight games so far.

At the KPT football Stadium, Muslim FC’s strong run so far, which had seen them collect 11 points from six games, was checked by a Pakistan Navy side as they played out dour 0-0 draw.

The result left both sides on 12 points although Muslim FC lead them on goal difference.

Elsewhere, league strugglers Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) and Wohaib FC also played out a goalless draw in Lahore’s Railway Football Stadium.

The point helped ZTBL to three points from five games while Wohaib FC have just two from four matches.

Tuesday’s fixtures:

KESC v Afghan FC (KPT Football Stadium, Karachi); PMC Athletico Vs PAF (PMC Football Ground, Faisalabad).
