KARACHI, Dec 29: A leader of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) and Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami, Merajul Huda Siddiqui, has predicted that an overwhelming majority of the population would opt for the MMA to rule over the country.

He was speaking at the Ulema Convention held in Orangi Town here on Sunday.

He remarked that a majority of the 140 million Pakistanis wanted to see religious elements to rule over the country.

He observed that the people were now tired of the corrupt and so-called scholar politicians who, in name of catharsis and accountability, imposed terrorists, corrupt and ineligible figures on the nation.

By sending ulema and religious scholars to the assemblies in a large number people had disapproved the non-religious and secular elements.—PPI
