Snake Eyed triumphs like a champion

KARACHI, Dec 28: The thoroughbred bay colt Snake Eyed, made amends for his last putrid run, sprinting to victory over five furlongs at the Winter Gymkhana Meeting held on Saturday at the Karachi Racecourse.

This time partnered by riding boy Sohail Ahmed, the colt came in from behind to end the pretensions of Blue’s Night by a comfortable margin of seven and half lengths. Sweet Victory grabbed the third spot from Sugar Daddy.

In the opener, Spring Fair ridden by riding boy Naveed, picked up the spoils by beating the favourite Century by seven lengths.

The next race was won by Pearl in a start to finish bid. The bay horse ridden by champion jockey M. Nisar, never gave the connections any anxious moments, streaking to victory as he pleased.

The same could be said about the next winner Surprise Again ridden by Kashif Ali leaving the rest of the field cold.

The roan colt Order Of The Day with Naseem Ahmed aboard, won the for th event from Shoot To Kill, while the last event was bagged by Owner trainer Sohail Butt’s bay colt Wonder Thunder partnered by riding boy Aamir Ali, which enabled Sohail to finish the afternoon with a brace of winners. His earlier success came through Order Of The Day.

The next race programme is scheduled for Sunday Jan 5.
