KARACHI, Sept 8: Lyari Project Boxing Club secured three gold medals to win the Defence Day boxing tournament which concluded at the Ustad Satto boxing stadium, Lyari, on Friday evening.

Pak National Boxing Club finished runner-up with two gold medals. Over 50 pugilists representing nine local clubs featured in the contest which was extended to a day due to rains.

Final results: Boys’ under-14: 30kg: Israr bt Shoaib 3-0. 32kg: Zohaib bt Irfan 3-0. 34kg: Adil Kachi bt Asif 2-1. 36kg: Zohaib Rasheed bt Shehroz 3-0. 38kg: Azhar Ali bt Owais 3-0. 40kg: Hameed bt Mahmood 2-1. 42kg: Aftab bt Adam 2-1. 44kg: Salman bt Jamil 2-1. —Sports Correspondent
