ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal said on Thursday that in four years the government has destroyed the economy of Pakistan, DawnNews reported.

He also said that he wants to make the people of Pakistan aware of the government’s intentions. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should take notice of the government’s objectives, he added.

While addressing a news conference in Islamabad, Iqbal questioned the government's idea to hold local elections before the general elections.

He also added that these all are the formulas of General Pervez Musharraf.

Furthermore, he said that Pakistan's stance on accountability should be self-governed.

Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Awami National Party (ANP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) all are involved in corruption and crime.
