MIRPURKHAS, Sept 4: Unidentified people dumped worker of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (Shafi Burfat group) Ghulam Murtaza Chandio on Tuesday morning at a link road near the village of Saindad Walyani in Jhuddo taluka.

He was blindfolded and his hands were tied with rope.

He was said to have been missing for the past 11 months.

Villagers brought him to the village of Roshanabad where he told some people his name and association with the JSMM. He was taken to Hyderabad from where he belongs, but he did not talk to reporters there.

Our Staff Correspondent adds: He was picked up by police and officials in plain clothes at the toll plaza on the Indus Highway when he was travelling to Hyderabad from Larkana, according to his family.

His brother Shahnawaz Chandio refused to comment on his release and just said: “He is at home right now.”

Other family members said he appeared to have been mentally and physically tortured.

He was kept at various places in Sindh. His condition is stated to be stable. A doctor is taking care of him at home.

Family members were reluctant to talk to media persons.
