SIALKOT, Aug 11: Uggoki police on Saturday arrested a factory owner for allegedly torturing and sexually incapacitating his employee at Adalatgarha. On Friday evening, Shahid Farooqi (45) was doing his job as worker-cum-watchman at the hosiery manufacturing unit of Saqib Ali.

According to eyewitnesses, Saqib asked him to start generator during outages. Shahid could not do the job due to some sudden technical fault. Consequently, Saqib got infuriated, allegedly tortured Shahid and sexually incapacitated him and threw him outside the factory in a critical condition. Locals shifted him to Govt Sardar Begum Hospital, Sialkot, where his condition was said to be critical.

District Police Officer (DPO) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar inquired after the victim at hospital. He told newsmen that the Uggoki police had registered a case against Saqib and his unknown accomplices under section 337-V PPC and arrested him. Further investigation is under way.
