KARACHI, Dec 20: The collectorate of customs (exports) has made extensive arrangements to keep all the exporting stations of the collectorate open during holidays: December 22 (Sunday), December 25 (public holi-day), and on December 29 (Sunday).

As the closing for the textile quotas fall on December 31, of each year the collectorate has also made arrangement to keep all its offices open for 24 hours on the last day (December 31) of the year 2002, at all the points of shipments.

Similarly, the collectorate of customs (exports) will keep its offices open on December 25.

Therefore, on all these days the exporting stations of the collectorate of customs (exports) located at Port Qasim, Air Freight Unit at Jinnah Terminal, East and West Wharves, as well as the duty drawback groups, accounts and treasury sections located at 11th floor, Custom House, Karachi will remain open.

These arrangements have been made to facilitate exports and enable exporters to meet their export orders and also to ensure expeditious disposal of duty drawback claims.
