Papers of PML-Q man rejected

TAXILA, Dec 18: Returning Officer Mumtaz Munnar Niazi on Wednesday rejected the nomination papers of PML-Q candidate for the by-election on provincial assembly seat, PP-8 Wah Cantt, Malik Taimoor Akbar.

The candidate’s age is stated to be below the prescribed age limit. Faisal Iqbal, an independent candidate has raised objection. However, the RO accepted the nomination papers of 10 candidates.

OPEN KUTCHERY: Wapda is committed to serve the masses of urban as well as rural areas and their complaints regarding service will be redressed on priority basis.

This was stated by XEN, Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (Iesco), Saeed Alam Gull, while speaking at an Open Kutchery.

He said inefficient officials would be fired so that department be made people-friendly.

He disclosed that special uniforms would be provided to meter reading staff.

The Wapda consumers complained about late delivery of electricity bills, low voltage and unavailability of electricity in the area.
