WE, the residents of Karachi Administration Employees Cooperative Housing Society (KAECHS), blocks 1 and 2, had made a request to the KBCA for immediately stopping the construction of a commercial building on a residential plot at D-13, Block 1, KAECHS.

We had submitted an application at your office on June 19. A second letter was delivered to your office on June 29 through TCS courier which was received by your office on July 2.

It is quite astonishing that till today no action has been taken. The construction work is being carried out day and night.

Why is your office staff ignoring the construction work at this stage? Are they waiting to promote the building up to the stage of regularisation policy (the privilege to existing construction)?

If it is so, then it is an unfair practice of the KBCA staff concerned. It should be ascertained as to who is responsible for maintaining such an attitude which may defame the KBCA.

This type of construction work directly hurts our adjacent neighbours who live in D/12 and D/14. In fact, it is a blemish on all the residents of the area. Everybody, including the KBCA, should condemn and discourage the violation of human rights by every means.

We hereby request KBCA authorities concerned to kindly intervene in the matter by taking urgent action against the illegal construction work.
