ISLAMABAD: Former chief of Bahria town and central character of Arsalan-Iftikhar case Malik Riaz appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials on Friday in Islamabad, DawnNews reported.

Riaz had shown his unwillingness to appear before NAB’s joint investigation team yesterday but he seem to have changed his mind afterwards.

Earlier on Thursday, Sindh high Court (SHC) had granted a four-week protective bail to the Riaz.

Riaz said that he did not have any reservations over NAB’s investigations unlike Arsalan Iftikhar. Arsalan had shown his mistrust on Attorney General Irfan Qadir and on NAB investigation team on  July 13 by filing a petition in the Supreme Court to review the court’s decision in the suo motu notice pertaining to allegations against him.

Speaking to media representatives before appearing in front of five-member NAB team, Riaz said that he trusted Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and he had faith in God. Adding that, he hopes to get justice.

Moreover, the property tycoon said that 'some people’ were trying to foil conspiracy against him.
