ISLAMABAD, Dec 17: Special security arrangements are being made to prevent any ‘trouble’ during a visit of the interior minister on Wednesday to a local village.

It is learnt that while the interior minister, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, who won the general elections from Jhang district on the PPP ticket, is scheduled to visit Karal village, the activists of Pakistan People’s Party have planned some protest against him there.

However, the local administration and the police have already become alert and to foil such an attempt ‘strict security arrangements’ have been ordered to save the minister from some ‘nasty’ situation.

It is believed that some leading activists of the PPP have already been detained or will be detained for the next 24 hours to prevent any law and order situation during the visit of the minister.
