LAHORE, Dec 16: PML-Q President Mian Muhammad Azhar is proceeding to Islamabad on Tuesday where he is expected to meet some important government functionaries.

It is said that last-ditch efforts are being made for an amicable solution to the party crisis ahead of the Dec 20 general council meeting, which has been requisitioned by its members to take up a no-confidence motion against Mian Azhar.

There are indications that the general council meeting Mian Azhar wanted to hold before Dec 20 will not be held.

PPP MOOT: All arrangements have been completed for the PPP convention to be held here on Wednesday. District presidents, members of the central executive committee and ticket holders will participate.
