KARACHI, Dec 16: The Malir Town administration has decided to impose a fine on those who throw away garbage and debris on streets and roads.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the town officials which was presided over by the Naib Nazim, Mohammad Wasim Mirza.

The meeting reviewed the general sanitary conditions of the town and noted with regrets that some of the staffers were not punctual in performing their duties.

He directed the officials that attendance record of the sanitary staff working under union councils be submitted to the town administration regularly and immediate action be taken against the absentees. It was also decided in the meeting that the ongoing development work in the town would be completed within the stipulated time and tenders invited for pending works.
