TURBAT is an important, thickly-populated city of Balochistan. It is the divisional headquarters of Makran and has a district headquarters hospital whose OPD is visited by a large number of patients on a daily basis.

Sadly, this hospital lacks most major health facilities. There is an acute shortage of qualified doctors, particularly lady doctors. In today’s world when specialisation has become common and essential, there is not a single doctor in the hospital with a FCPS/MCPS or its equivalent international qualification

The people of the area have been demanding a well-equipped laboratory and blood bank for a long time but to no avail. This hospital which caters to the need of a large number of people of this underdeveloped region needs urgent attention of the relevant authorities.
