KOHAT, May 30: The Kohat police arrested a Bangladeshi national during routine search on the Indus Highway here on Wednesday.

Police said that the foreigner identified as Mohammad Bin Ameen, son of Saqibur Rehman, was staying illegally in Kohat and had no valid travel documents. They said that Mr Ameen had entered Pakistan from Afghanistan and he did not have passport or any other document.

The staff of Riaz Shaheed police station has registered a case against the Bangladeshi national. Officials said that they had informed the provincial home department for Mr Ameen’s deportation.

FERTILISER SEIZED: The Cantonment police on Wednesday seized a huge quantity of fertiliser, which was being smuggled from Punjab to Afghanistan.

Cantonment police station SHO said that a police team stopped a truck (No 8555) and found that it was filled with 600 bags of fertiliser. He said that on interrogation they came to know that the truck loaded in Punjab was proceeding to Afghanistan.
