ISLAMABAD, May 4: A teenager was stabbed to death while his brother was injured on Friday, police said.

The deceased D.A. had friendship with the sister of the accused, and had quarreled over the issue in the past.

The police said D.A and S.A. – sons of a retired gardener at Radio Pakistan – were going towards G-8 Markaz on a motorbike from their residence in Sector G-7/1. As they reached near Noori hospital they were intercepted by the accused A.S. and T.S.

A scuffle ensued among them after an exchange of harsh words and then they started thrashing one another. Later, the accused pulled out a dagger and started stabbing the brothers.

D.A. was repeatedly hit near abdomen area while S.A. also received stab wounds on different parts of the body.

The attackers managed to escape, leaving the injured behind. They were shifted to the hospital and police were also informed about the incident.

D.A. died in the hospital while the condition of S.A. was stated to be critical.

The police registered a murder and attempted-murder case against the accused A.S. and T.S. – whose father was also a gardener at Radio Pakistan.

A police team also raided the residence of the accused at Radio Pakistan Colony in G-8/4, but found it locked from outside.

The police said the victims and the accused were neighbours earlier and during the period D.A. had developed friendship with a sister of the accused.

When the accused came to know about the relation, they got annoyed and even warned the victim.
