KARACHI, Dec 9: The home department has appointed Justice Roshan Essani, a judge of the High Court of Sindh, as tribunal in place of district and sessions judge, South, to conduct an enquiry into the death of former federal minister, Umer Asghar Khan.

The terms of reference of the tribunal shall be to probe, ascertain causes and circumstance leading to the death of Umer and to ascertain whether it was a case of a premeditated murder or suicide; to ascertain and identify the involvement of anyone in the alleged death under mysterious circumstances; and any other vital aspect related to the incident which may help establish the truth and recommendations, if any.—APP
