NAWABSHAH, Dec 8: Asif Ali Zardari was taken back to Karachi amid tight security on Saturday after spending Eid here.

The husband of the former prime minister Benazir Bhutto was brought here from Karachi on Thursday after being released on a three-day-long parole to celebrate Eid with his family.

Hundreds of people arrived to greet him at the Zardari House here on Eid day.

Sources at the Zardari House said that he would be brought back to Nawabshah on Wednesday to attend his mother’s Chehlum.

SUICIDE: Ali Khan Brohi, 55, Naib Nazim of the union council Ismail Brohi, committed suicide by shooting himself in Ismail Brohi village on Sunday.

He was taken to the People’s Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.
