LANDI KOTAL, April 4: Three bullet-riddled bodies were found in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency on Wednesday, sources said.

They said that residents of Shawon area in Tirah found bullet-riddled bodies of three unidentified men near Imran Sar hilltop. They said that besides bullet marks, the bodies also had signs of severe torture. Nobody had so far identified the deceased whose bodies were placed in a local mosque, they added.

In Shalobar area of Bara, unidentified gunmen killed a tribesman, Subedar Khan, near Qambarabad market. Reason behind the killing could not be known as nobody claimed responsibility for the incident.

In Speen Dhand locality of Bara, three minor girls were injured when a mortar shell fell on the house of Bahadar Khan on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.

In Jamrud, Khasadar Force claimed to have destroyed poppy crop cultivated on 36-kanal piece of land.

In Nowshera, militants blew up a primary school for girls in Arbab Dheri area on Wednesday.

Police said that two classrooms were destroyed completely in the blast. Other potions of the building were also partially damaged, they added.

The Bomb Disposal Squad said that five kilograms of explosives were used in the blast. Another five-kilogram bomb, planted in another room of the school, was defused, they added.

Police said hat three persons including the school's watchman, who was not present at the time of explosion, were arrested.

In Lakki Marwat, police defused a homemade bomb planted in a school in Darra Pezu town on Wednesday.

"Militants had planted an improvised explosive device in a high school for girls in Warghar locality of the town," said Haibat Ali Khan Shaheed police station SHO Mohammad Khan.

He said that a contingent of police along with personnel of Bomb Disposal Squad was sent to the area when they got information about the presence of bomb. The bomb was defused safely, he added.
