KHAIRPUR, April 4: Justice (Rtd) Ali Aslam Jafri has stressed the need of imparting quality education to law students.

Addressing a ceremony here on Tuesday to mark the opening of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto School of Law at the main campus of Shah Abdul Latif University, he said a competent and honest lawyers’ fraternity could ensure rule of law and justice.

Classes for first batch of law under-graduates would start under semester system.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor of SALU, Prof Dr Nilofer Shaikh, said that this school would provide five-year degree.

Establishment of school of law, she added, was a humble step in memory of first elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, who sacrificed his life for the emancipation of the people and rule of law and constitution in the country.

ADMISSION: The University has notified the first merit list of candidates who had passed the pre-entry test for admissions in Bachelor and Masters Programmes in all departments.

The candidates have been advised to visit university website www.salu.edu.pk for their names. The selected candidates have been directed to submit their admission fee up to April 12.
