LARKANA, Dec 4: District Nazim Khursheed Junejo has said frequent postings and transfers by the Sindh government are affecting performance of the district government.

He told this correspondent here on Wednesday district officers of revenue, education and works departments and the principal of the Government Higher Secondary Girls School had been recently transferred.

He added 55 officers had also been transferred before the Oct 10 election.

The district Nazim said this would paralyse the devolution system.

He said he had protested before the Sindh governor and had apprised the provincial chief secretary of the situation, adding the transfers had been made without consulting him.

The district Nazim expressed concern over the increase in kidnapping incidents in the district and criticized the investigation wing of the Larkana police for its poor performance.

He said if no notice was taken of the situation, he would take Nazims of the Larkana taluka into confidence to decide future course of action.

RELEASED: A man, who was kidnapped along with three others by seven bandits on Monday, was released near the Fatehpur village on Wednesday.

The man released was identified as Shakir Bullo.

It may be mentioned here the bandits had also freed another kidnapped man, Yasir Bullo, on Tuesday and now two of the four kidnapped men are in the clutches of the bandits.
