LAHORE, March 5: The General Council of the Punjab Judo Association (PJA) has elected Mahmood Naveed and Maqsood Ahmad as its president and secretary for the next term of four years.

A press release of the PJA issued on Monday says all the affiliated units were present in the general council meeting. Ejaz Khokhar was elected as chairman of the PJA.

Mahmood Butt, president of the Punjab Boxing Association, attended the meeting as observer of the Punjab Olympic Association.

Meanwhile, the new body also approved an activity programme which will start with the commencement of Punjab Judo Championship in the last week of March.

President: Mahmood Naveed. Chairman: Ejaz Khokar (Sialkot) Vice-presidents: Nayyar Akram Raja (Rawalpindi), Muzammil (Bahawalpur), Sultana Khan (Women Wing). Secretary: Maqsood Ahmed (Gujranwala). Joint secretary: Amjad Ahmed (Faisalabad), Raza Bajwa (Multan). Treasurer: Zubair Butt (Lahore). Executive committee members: Abdullah (Khanewal), Fayaaz (Gujranwala), Naeem Ahmed (Jhang), Shahzad Khan (Sialkot).
