SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 18: Six people sustained serious bullet injuries on Sunday when two rival groups exchanged fire over a land dispute in Kot Ranjeet village, some eight kilometre from here.

Sanaullah along with his eight accomplices had forcibly attempted to take possession of the land. But, their rival group — Shabbir and his accomplices — offered resistance which led to an exchange of firing between them. As a result, Sanaullah, Shabbir, Javed, Hanif, Shahzad and Bashir received critical injuries. They were admitted to the local DHQ Hospital where three of them were stated to be in precarious condition.
