KARACHI, Dec 1: Work on development schemes, which have been lying abandoned, in Landhi Town will begin soon.

These projects include reconstruction of roads, construction of a model town park and a model school, restart of work on a hospital and a stadium, a first aid centre and installation of street-lights.

The decision was taken at a meeting the Nazim of Landhi Town, Mohammed Shahid, had with city Nazim Naimatullah Khan. Union Council Nazims of Landhi Town were present at the meeting.

The delegation informed the city Nazim that schemes initiated by the previous government were lying in abeyance, and work needed to be expedited on them.

The city Nazim said the city government had begun work on various such schemes which had been put into abeyance.—APP
